Ordering Your Simon Custom Guitar
has many variables....
The personal attention to details in hand selecting, cutting and shaping of woods, inlay work and curing of nitrocellulose takes much more time than a factory made guitar. The average wait at this time is 6-18 months. Simon Custom Guitars reserves the right to change the status due to early completion or unforeseen delays, and customer would be notified of any changes.
Prices do not include taxes, shipping, or insurance costs. Guitar cases I choose are basic hard shell. The customer can supply their own if desired.
Deposit
Simon Custom Guitars requires a 20% down payment to lock in a place on the build list. It also covers my time working on your order, ie, working on your design, shopping for wood etc. This is non refundable after 5 business days. As a convenience to you, my client, at no additional cost, I will accept monthly payments on the balance owed. This balance can be divided over the number of months projected for completion of your guitar and can be discussed at time order is placed. Other payment arrangements can be discussed at placement of order, as I am eager to accommodate your needs. It is further understood the balance is due upon completion prior to shipping. I personally assure you when you get one of my instruments in your hand it will be worth the wait. I am also offering a unique service to my clients. I will provide upon request, and at no charge, photo documentation of your instrument as it is in the building process.I will email you or post on the Simon Custom Guitars MySpace website hi-res digital photos in the progression of your guitar.
Warranty
All Simon Custom Guitars are covered by a limited warranty to the original purchaser for 1 year against defective materials or workmanship. Upon notice of any defect it will be repaired or replaced at SCG’s option. Purchaser shall assume and pay the cost of all shipping or postage charges of the repaired guitar. Damages incurred by misuse, accidents, normal wear or natural cracking of the wood or finishes due to changes in temperature and humidity are not covered under the warranty. Items that wear out or require adjustments in normal use are not covered.
